New addition to the cGEM group
In July 2019 cGEM opened the second call for vacancies. We were looking for senior researchers to fill in the following positions:
Senior Research Fellow of Evolutionary and Population Genomics
Senior Research Fellow of Bioinformatics and Medical Genomics
Senior Research Fellow of Medical and Molecular Medicine
The turnout of applications was uplifting. All togehter we recieved a total of 43 applications from highly qualified researchers from all over the world. The candidates were assessed on their nationally / internationally recognized research, teamwork ability, effective publication of high quality research papers, presentation at international conferences, effective coaching of graduate and / or doctoral students, strong organizational ability, communication skills and on ability to engage, mentor and motivate colleagues. The competition was very tight and consecuently the evaluation process took more time than anticipated.
On 12th of November the Council of Intitute of Genomics made the decision to fill the positions of Senior Research Fellow of Evolutionary and Population Genomics and Senior Research fellow of Bioinformatics and Medical Genomics. With the decision of the council and recommendation of the evaluation panel, the latter position was divded between multiple researchers.

Senior Research Fellow of Bioinformatics and Medical Genomics (0.5 position) – Georgi Hudjasov, PhD
